Now, you can prepare for your own writing by analyzing the model with this worksheet, below:
1. Choose which version you would like to use (MS Word or Google Docs).
2. Study the model by listing the verbs and the objects. Remember, because most of the steps are imperatives, they don't have subjects.
Now, plan your own paragraph. First, make a list of all the steps necessary to do the task you have chosen from the list. Choose which version you would like to use, and make your own list. Work with a partner to get ideas. Use the Longman Dictionary if you need it.
Here is another model for practice. You can use the same worksheet to practice with this other model.
After you make a list, you can show it to another student. Discuss the vocabulary, and exchange your thoughts. You can also use a dictionary, and ask the instructors. The best way to start writing is to share ideas first--before you start writing.
